America needs Obama. Another mandate with a republican (Especially one such as McCain) will just bring their standing with the rest of the world lower, and lower, and lower.

What are the chances that mcCain, if actually win, live through his first year of mandate ? Very Happy

Well... Obama endorse more or less all support here, I believe that IF americans would be ''normal'' the palin thing should actually lower McCains popularity and give bigger advantage to Obama, but since american politics are more of a person politics than policies...

Btw. Palin wants to drill half of Antartic to prove that people are not responsible for climate changes

I think the whole thing of having religion involved in politics is nonsense. In the US many people will not vote for someone who isn't Christian, which I think is a real shame. Their religion shouldn't affect how they would govern the country at all. The two are completely separate.

Cmon they're american ...

well you see, it's quite normal, and tbh, there won't be much influence on voting since they don't see much difference between religion Smile

What has Obama done, seriously?
All that will happen with Obama as president is taxes will rise.

Just to correct Deathtoll - Under Obama's tax plan ONLY people earning OVER $220,000 PA will actually pay more. People who are earning less than that (are are more likely to be people needing the money) will pay LESS.
GJ US media for completely misrepresenting a tax plan.

Not to blame media, You need to blaim McCain ...
US media actually only bring '' policans'' to comment on McCains or Obamas quotes, so ...
Its not to blame just media, but to blame McCain, since he said, If I am not mistaken, My tax cuts are going to make new Jobs, and his tax rising are going to make small private companies go bancrupt and people from there move to government companies...

(second part is only my coment Smile )
Why wouldn't want that, wouldn't we... We're republicans, we don't have the government... O wait.. we do ?

So since Republican '' leader'' doesn't understand it, why would the rest of republicans ?
The golden rule of America Smile

Well, I honestly dont think it's going to matter.

For the last 6 Presidential Elections, I have been hearing every candidate talk about how poor the current President is, and how much change is needed yet not one of them can actually say HOW they plan on accomplishing it. SO, it really isnt going to matter. The President is nothing more than a figurehead, so whether it's a black man or female VP neither one has the power anyone thinks they do.

Possibly because they don't stand a chance?

That and aside from Bob Barr and Ralph Nader, I doubt most people have even heard of the others. Gotta love representative media Wink

I voted for Obama and anyone else watching the news? Smile. That 700bn payback the american government promised and stock shares have plummetted, I reckon America just shot themselves and half the world (including us, Irelands already in reccesion) in the foot.. economically speaking of course.

BUMP!

Elections are tomorrow. So I figured I'd just jump on the Obama bandwagon.

This Election certainly seems to be getting more attention that more recent ones. Mainly due to the silly money being spent by the leading candidates. It really is bad that Third Party candidates can't get the funds...
