Running from LN

I'd like to announce I am putting myself forward as a candidate for congress from Lower Normandy.

My name's Will and I'm a MDU party member, I'm a very active member of eRep and already have some political experience, I run the Ministry of Migration and Support with Tommy as well as operating Transport for London and am looking to get involved even more in my party. I am also very loyal to my country, I joined the Royal Navy as soon as I could and have reached the rank of Sergeant, commanding a group of members in which I try to promote unity, respect and fun. As part of this, one of my men - thehorseltd - made a badge for our platoon, you can see it in my avatar, he is now going on to make one for all the Royal Navy platoons and provide something we can all have in common. I have started the soldiers Mess thread looking to have a place where all the troops can chat with each other and the non-military inhabitants as well. My efforts have even been personally recognised by our PM Dish.

The memories of just joining the game are still clear to me and I believe this will mean I will be able to help those in Lower Normandy who are still new. I also know of the strife of the soldiers, I am planning to start an organisation with an other Royal Navy member to provide decent jobs wherever the troops are deployed, as well as general funding as people donate to it. In the future we will look to also make or provide weapons for the men or even wellness. Futhermore, I will make sure that we pursue policies that ensure we keep Lower Normandy for the foreseeable future, not only militarily speaking but economically and ensuring social unity.

To a certain extent you are not only voting for the man but also the party. MDU is relatively young but highly ambitious. We follow three principles of Liberty of the Citizen, Independence of the Nation, and Protection of the Free Market. We are generally recognised by those already in a party as where they would go if they left, and have been noted for the fact that we avoid dirty tactics and smear campaigns.

I wish the best of luck to my fellow Sergeant Rastari who is also running for the position and who I have a great respect for. I also wish luck to my fellow party member PM Keogh.

I think in game life span is of little consequence, as many others in the thread have testified. It would be very hard to get achievements for me after 19 days, yet after 19 days I have achieved a position in government and an officers rank in the RN. I believe this shows by ambition, activity and drive.

And if you want to bring eRep age into this, wouldn't your 2 months mean you may be distanced from issues affecting those who are new or struggling to find a place? And even if you remember very clearly the events of 2 months ago, things change and it may not be useful for today's newly born. I on the other hand wouldn't have that problem.
