Re: NFL Pick em' Gameweek 4
I hate the Pats, so no Brady=Good for me. I cant wait for the game against the Broncos
The Falcons ought to have a decent test this week though, as Carolina actually plays defense. We get the Chiefs at Arrowhead coming off a blowout loss against the Falcons, so that ought to piss the Chiefs off enough to play a little better.

They always play us tough at Arrowhead though. Going back for years they seem to play well for the Broncos....

Re: NFL Pick em' Gameweek 4
They've done alright. It'll be interesting when the play some tougher competition though. Same story with the Broncos, really. They should be 4-0 after this week, but we've got some tough games ahead.

Re: NFL Pick em' Gameweek 4
What are u on ?? smack, cause its what you'll get for talking about Warner like that
Warner is still a legend and a brilliant player with experience. Warner, Fitzgerald and Boldin are like three peas in a pod when their on their form.
Brett Favre may be old and supposedly way past his sell by date but this guy can still chuck a ball better than most other NFL quarterbacks can. Young and Old.
Who do you think would make an interesting match up (Any position) ??

Re: NFL Pick em' Gameweek 4
My knowldge of NFL is very limited, i didnt watch my first game til last season, hence i dont know a great deal of players!
Im learning fast though. Its just that the 2 times ive seen warner, he hasnt been great.
Slightly irrelevant, but i put £10 on turner to get most rushing yards this season after the first game at 16/1! I reckon thats good odds!

Re: NFL Pick em' Gameweek 4
Warner is good, not really a legend though. Few good years in St Louis after he bagged groceries, but compared to Favre, who is arguably is the most durable QB ever there really isnt a debate.
There have been lots of great QB's, and even more good ones. I personally think Cutler is one of the best in the league with his tools. Still a bit immature at times with his decision making, but has as good if not better arm than anyone, is mobile, and confident. He finally actually knows the playbook too.
Rodgers will continue to be untested until he has a year starting under his belt. He can be good, but remember he's also the product of 3 good drafts in a row which has built a strong surrounding cast. I personally think he's good, but I dont think he'll win a SB.
I'm one of the few that think Eli is actually a better pure QB than his brother Peyton, but thats a personal opinion. I think he has a better arm, but Peyton obviously has the experience. They do both now have rings though. Someone in Vegas made a TON of money betting on the Giants to win the SB last year during Preseason though.
And I've been watching the NFL for 20something years, so you can always ask me
