You can fight interdependently, but unfortunately, you need a higher strength to be funded by the army. I think you need around 4/5 strength to join the reserves.

Personally, if I was at your level, I wouldn't fight, it would cost a lot of money and you wouldn't really hit a lot. Wait until you're around 5 strength to get properly involved in wars. Although you can use this as a learning war.
