So, I was just wondering if there are any German art film buffs out there. The Baader-Meinhof Complex is a movie about the Red Army Faction, a very notorious terrorist organization in the 1970's. It comes out in the UK on November the 14th. Anyone other than me going to see it?

To be honest living in Australia I haven't heard of the film. But I like films with a historic theme so if it comes out i might see it

Is it gonna be one of those big releases or is it one that only a few cinemas will show ?

Probably a limited release. The other film by the same producer, Downfall, only came out in one cinema near me last year. Although, HMV in the UK has a really good world cinema section, so when it hits DVD, it'll probably be there for 5-10 pounds. It looks like a good film.

I didn't get to go see Baader, I didn't feel it was necessary to take the train into London to see it. I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Downfall was amazing! the director of it was Oliver Hirschbiegel. Baader was directed by someone else, though. They had the same producer, though. he's Bernd Eichinger.
