Changing to XP will make it worse with the lack of drivers for XP on that laptop. My laptop was cheap and cheerful and works with Vista Home Premium perfectly. RAM caching is an efficient solution.

I'm on XP and now that Microsoft have already announced Windows 7 I'll be staying XP until then, or more likely W7 SP2.

We already have, albeit a handheld OS. Android, its called. It's an open source OS running on the google G1 PDA. I reckon that it wont be too long before we see a desktop version of it.

Its always the linux and Mac users that are the most annoying and preachy about their OS choice.=[

Linux users more so than Mac users, although with a larger degree of heterosexuality it has to be said.
