we had the same problems in Belgiums and after severall strikes they had the system altered to give the postmen more time.

Yep, near city suburb here too and we had our post today at 12pm.

I know people who still get their post on their doormat before they leave the house for work at 7:30am and some people who can expect delivery between 2pm and 6pm.

yeah but it costs them less as one guy can now cover half a smalltown in one day.
