You mean there was a point at which it didn't suck?
There aren't many webcomics I read that are still going, it's mainly 8-Bit Theatre (More out of habit, the humour dried up about 600 issues ago), Order of the Stick, Garfield minus Garfield, XKCD and Penny Arcade

The ones with the ninja's were great in CAD, or the one where ethan started working in construction and reenacted Quake (with the rail gun) I couldn't stop laughing.

i stopped reading cad about 2005 and i agree with 8 bit theatre drying up i still reread the earlier ones sometimes though
