Another marvellously vague assertion. I'm going to call you out on this one: why on earth should you believe that to be true?

Go far enough left and you're just about back on the right.

Re: Politics is confusing
Go far enough left and you'll be very left. Have a look at the political spectrum - orientation is seen as a grid, not a line. Thus [i repeat] "Go far enough left and you'll...be very left."

Well Fascists look an awful lot like Authoritarian Dictatorships for the Proletariat. Both watch you like a hawk and control everything.

Re: Politics is confusing
Besides I'm using the concept of left to right, the "political compass" as a multi axis map of ideology is only a few years old by my estimation. I mean it's based on the Nolan chart from the 70's but has only really taken off in its new form in the last ten years.

Re: Politics is confusing
Well then let me retort simply that the crux of this conversation is based originally on the use of terms "Right and "Left" wing, suggesting the use of a single line, and the preference for one end over the other. Secondly I'm the guy who scored Economic Left/Right: -8.00, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.62 on this same test we are now referencing. So I suppose I'm just as progressive.

Re: Politics is confusing
the origin of this can be found in France. In the French parliament, the the more fascist party's refused to sit besides the communist party's and vica versa so they both sat as far from each other as possible. with the moderate politicians in the middle. That's where the names "right politician" and "left politician" come from.

Maybe the French didn't want to sit next to other French because then they'd have to do that akwaed greeting kiss
