Americans
Ok so i know this is the UK and all but why is there so much arguing between us over stupid stuff? fo instance in the Us we say i majored in math for college here however it has to be maths. whats the point in arguing over it.
However heres the kicker we are still arguing about the american revolution. things that happend over 231 years ago and still arguing. Shows how well we gwt along eh?.
Oh and the last thing you call your pants trousers and your underwear pants. which is stupid to me. so why are we still arguing over stupid stuff like this? makes me wonder.

Re: Americans
Isn't pants just short for pantaloons - another word for trousers? And over here in blighty we use the word pants as a shortened version of underpants. Underpants itself meaning "under pantaloons". So really, we're both right, and we should all kiss and make up, start a family, move to the country drink cider and live a happy, productive carefree existence.
Hang on, cider isn't alcoholic in the u.s. is it?
Nooooooooooo!

we do call it American it's the Americans that call it English although it's blatantly not because you use z's far too much even in laser which is supposed to be an acronym so it can't have a z and what's with the Americans rejection of the letter u i like that letter, oh and you've got the other words in the american language taken from Italian, German and other non English languages zucchini being an Italian word originally the english word is courgette

Re: Americans
The Scots have their own language already though So do the Welsh and Irish, Americans changed our language, what the other 3 done was that they simply took words from their original language and used it in english, the americans just made their words up, or got lazy and started mising out letters (letter u for example) and using other letters (z is at the end of the alphabet for a reason ) for no apparent reason.

Re: Americans
and as for the American revolution, 230 odd years ago is ancient history to the Americans but only yesterday for proper countries that have thousands of years of history. Also a college isn't the same thing as a university. so saying you majored in math(s) in college here is like saying you were in the remedial class. i had to do 2 years in college to qualify to get into university.

Re: Americans
whats the difference between a university and a college. to mee they are the same thing. As for making z's more popular maybe you should just use them more . And which countries have thousands of years of history. England has like 942 years or so of history.

Re: Americans
it's defiantly over a thousand and i think the Americans just call universities college because there in high school till eighteen and if we should use the letter z more then maybe you should use the letter u more? although i think we might need to agree to disagree on that one
